ODTCW SCHOLARSHIP

The Obedience Dog Training Club of Waterbury (ODTCW) is pleased to offer a subject based
Scholarship for eligible applicants. It is anticipated that the scholarship will be between
$500.00 and $2,000.00. All ODTCW members in good standing as well as any family members
related by blood, adoption, or marriage and any members of our 4H groups are eligible to
apply.
The ODTCW Scholarship is open to an eligible student pursuing an Associates, Bachelors,
Graduate, or Technical degree in any Animal Science related field. Two, Four, and Online
programs qualify as long as they are from accredited institutions. Any Animal Science related
field is defined as fields that include but are not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary
Medicine, Wildlife Management, Entomology, Agriculture, Meteorology, and Botany. Any field
that impacts the management, control, and enhancement of animals and the environment in
which they live will be acceptable.

Eligibility Requirements:
1. Applicants must be ODTCW Members in good standing or family as previously
described.
2. Applicants may be members of our local 4H Club
3. Applicants must be Citizens of the United States.
4. Applicants must be students attending an accredited facility of higher education
(College, Vocational, or Technical) for the upcoming Academic Year.

Criteria for Awarding the Scholarship:
(the following criteria will be covered in the questions on the following pages)
1. Degree of involvement in Animal Activities (community participation, club membership,
organization association, leadership credentials, et al)
2. Aspirations and Goals associated with an education that qualifies as previously noted
3. Extracurricular Activities - include all school, community, youth organizations, clubs,
work, camps or other select interests.
All applications must be submitted through this online application process. Any application
submitted any other method will not be eligible for review.
