Handler Discrimination
Fridays at 4pm with Lauren Stornelli
4 spots left
Service Description
This introductory class teaches dogs to locate their handler's unique scent. Handler discrimination is an AKC Scent Work element in which the dog must locate an article carrying the handler's odor while ignoring a distractor article carrying the judge's scent. Unlike traditional odor classes that teach essential oils, this class focuses on teaching dogs to recognize and seek out their handler's individual odor. Requirements for the class: You must bring an article of clothing (a glove or a sock) and wear it frequently so that it smells like you.
